Likewise, if the surgeon you choose bundles their surgery with additional services or uses their own private surgical facility for the procedure, the price may also be higher.

#2 – Geographic location and timing of surgery

Location and time of year will also influence cosmetic surgery costs. In larger cities, for example, the cost of living is higher, and this will mean cosmetic surgery prices will be higher as well. 

In the same vein, the time of year in which you choose to have surgery will also influence your breast lift bill. Winter surgeries are more common (and therefore more expensive) because clothes are bulkier and layered, so it’s often easier to conceal that you’ve had surgery. People tend to get more time off during the winter as well, which makes breast lift recovery easier.

After surgery, your surgeon may require you to purchase compression garments. Other products such as special sleeping pillows, chairs, or cushions may be helpful as well. Patients will also need to pay for their prescription medications following surgery, and some plastic surgeons will recommend lymphatic massage as well.

How much does a vampire breast lift cost?

Vampire breast lifts usually cost around $2,000 or more. Keep in mind that vampire breast lifts do not actually lift the breasts as a breast lift procedure does. Instead, a vampire breast lift improves the overall shape of your breasts and slightly augments them (increases their size).

Will insurance pay for a breast lift?

For most patients, insurance will not pay for a breast lift procedure. A breast augmentation procedure is sometimes covered by health insurance when it is medically necessary — for example, after a mastopexy indicated for breast cancer. 

However, purely cosmetic procedures, which generally includes all breast lift surgeries, are not considered medically necessary and are, therefore, not covered by health insurance plans.
