Are there any risks with breast augmentation?

Breast augmentation is a common and generally safe procedure, but like any surgery, it comes with some risks. These can include anesthesia complications, infection, changes in breast or nipple sensation, and implant-related issues like leakage, rupture, or capsular contracture (scar tissue around the implant). In rare cases, patients may experience breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) or require revision surgery due to implant malposition or asymmetry.
